About Sweet Goodness
Baking has always been a hobby of mine. Growing up I remember my Grandpa baking every so often and every Christmas I remember my Mom making her “famous” Christmas cookies. Maybe that’s when I got hooked, or it could be my sweet tooth that I can’t seem to kick. Who knows, but I love to bake!
I find baking and decorating almost therapeutic. I turn on some music, work in my kitchen, and it takes me away. A couple years ago I became hooked on cupcakes and that eventually led me into making larger party cakes. I mean bigger is better right? I have no formal training in cake decorating; just something I learn to do as I go. I watch a lot of the “cake shows” that are on television and have learned countless techniques from them. I studied Art in college and earned a degree in that field. If I can visualize it, I can make it!
All of my cakes are made in my own kitchen and have the homemade taste that everyone longs for. I’m constantly trying new recipes and flavors, which my family, friends, and coworkers all love because they get the samples.
